La Costa Resort and Spa is an International Destination Resort in the rolling hills of Carlsbad, California. The new Spa at La Costa opened in October 2003 and features 28,000 square feet of indoor space and a 15,000-square-foot outdoor courtyard. The Spa at La Costa is a world-class facility that includes 42 specialty treatment rooms, movement studio and salon with luxurious spas, steam rooms and sauna facilities, and many interactive wet amenities both indoors and out. These include a pool, a Roman waterfall shoulder pounding massage and sunbathing areas. Additional amenities include the full service Yamaguchi Salon, a spa café, spa boutique and movement and fitness training rooms.

Designed in the authentic Early California Mission style, the building architecture respects the surrounding communities and seaside environment. The tile roof, wood stained windows and white plaster create a pleasing contrast to the crystal blue skies and green hillside. Its design keeps guests feeling connected to the outdoors even when indoors.
